Symbol Arithmetic

The objective here was for the contestant to first work out the numberical value of a multitude of industrial symbols (i.e. if 20 minus chimney = 5, what does chimney equal?) This information could then be used to work out the three symbol only sums that released the crystal. Sadly, several contestants attempted to answer the sums straight away, and didn't get too far.
